Meet our experts
Tony is a Managing Director with CDI Experts based in Perth, Western Australia. He has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, which includes 15 years specialising in delay and disruption, contracts and claims management. His project experience includes building schemes, defence, rail, civil engineering, major mining, power and oil & gas mega projects. He has worked in the USA, Ireland, UK, Middle East, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Australia.
Dr Thurlbeck has more than 35 years’ experience in the energy, oil and gas, process, engineering and marine sectors. He is a Chartered Companion of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (FInstLM). Dr Thurlbeck is an International Ambassador for the City of Sunderland and also Visiting Professor at the University of Sunderland
Kate is our operations manager and one of our key personnel in upper-level management that make sure the company is performing to its best potential. She keep her eyes on multiple areas within the company, assuring productivity and efficiency.
Bryan has established a nine-year career as a dedicated and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry since his initial education and training in the UK. Having initially worked within the contracting environment in the UK, Bryan worked across a range of commercial building sectors including residential, commercial, education, and mixed-use. Bryan was the lead Quantity Surveyor on a number of these projects. Bryan is driven by implementing the highest possible standards and overcoming challenges in order to achieve the desired outcomes.
Lal is a Senior Associate with CDI Experts based in Brisbane, Queensland. He is a chartered quantity surveyor with 20 years’ experience spanning the construction, transport and resources sectors in Australia and the APAC region. Across his career he has worked in various roles from contract and commercial management, claims management, supply chain management and cost consulting.
Bryan is a Senior Quantity Surveyor with CDI Experts and has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry in multiple roles. Bryan has worked on projects in a variety of countries including the United States of America, Canada, Australia, and Singapore. Bryan is experienced in the use of Costx, Microsoft Excel and Word, Bluebeam, Fabtrol, and Fabsuite. He uses his knowledge of software systems to analyse large volumes of data in a time and cost-efficient manner.
Martin has 20 years experience in Process Plant Fabrication / Onsite Installation (Oil&Gas, Nuclear, Chemical and Mining) throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East, Far East and Australia with regards to QS/Cost Control and Contract Administration duties on behalf of the Contractor. Duties include reporting upon the commercial status of contracts to the head office, appliance of the relevant Contract Conditions relating loss mitigation and financial return, instrumental with the selection of Sub-Contractors and administration of correct payments.
Steve is a Senior Associate with CDI Experts based in Perth, Western Australia and has more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, which includes 18 years specializing in project controls, delay and disruption claims, contracts and claim management. His experience has embraced several complex projects, including building schemes, rail projects, civil engineering schemes, refineries and major mining projects.
Shaun is a Senior Quantity Surveyor with CDI Experts and has more than 12 years’ experience in the construction industry, which includes 10 years specialising in cost control, contract administration, value engineering, planning and dispute resolution. His experience has embraced several complex projects, including mixed development building projects, rail projects & mega tower projects. Shaun has worked in a variety of countries including UK and Malaysia. Shaun has project management and quantity surveying degrees. Shaun is registered with BQSM, RISM and RICS. He is in the process of completing his QS chartered qualification with QS boards in the UK and Malaysia.
Eva is a highly motivated and resourceful young professional with a diverse background encompassing seven years of experience in the construction industry. She holds a First-Class Honors degree in BSc Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, showcasing her commitment to excellence. Eva is a valuable addition to any team, known for her unwavering dedication, rapid adaptation to new processes, and quick absorption of information. She is driven by a desire to continuously expand her skillset and enhance her professional portfolio.
Byron has 15 years of accounting industry experience. He has been providing financial advisory services to the group from its inception in 2014. He specialises in delivering a complete range of accounting, taxation services and is a key member of the senior leadership team.
